OUR INSPIRATION

Hold Fast – a traditional nautical term, derived from the Dutch "houd vast", used to command sailors to hold tight to a ship's lines or to secure themselves to the rigging when aloft. A ship’s lines or rigging is “fast” when held firmly and positively secured. For some, the term represents deeper meaning to hold fast or stay true to one’s conviction.

Handcraft  - a skilled activity in which something is made in a traditional way, with the hands, rather than being produced by factory machines.

Cape Ann -  a picturesque and historically rich coastal region, also known as the “other cape” of Massachusetts. The artists, artisans, crafters and makers, who live and visit here, are inspired by the beauty of its rocky shorelines, sandy beaches, harbors, lighthouses, islands, quarries, inlets, and coves.
